Our prayer this week was led by 1M. As it is Mother's Day this Sunday, they shared with us a beautiful reflection about our mothers. We looked at the symbols of motherhood, remembered all the mothers who have come before us, and thanked our mothers for the gifts of themselves. The prayer ended with the song, "You Are My Sunshine" and left many of those watching searching for a tissue. Well done, Miss Henderson and 1M!
Our craft this week in the library was inspired by Mother's Day....shhh... don't tell your Mum! Special thanks goes to all those teachers, student teachers and upper school children who assisted with this activity - it was most appreciated!
Today we ran our annual Invitational Cross Country, organised, once again, so professionally by Mr Marrinan and Mrs Todd. The weather was amazing, 14 schools participated and the children competed with enthusiasm. St Anthony's did well, coming in third behind Mary MacKillop and Our lady of Mount Carmel. Thankyou to everyone who contributed to make this day another most successful event!
